(THIS CONTEST IS OPTIONAL)

  • STUDENTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO WRITE A BIOGRAPHY OF DR. SEUSS DURING READ ACROSS AMERICA WEEK.

  • STUDENTS MUST ANSWER TWO QUESTIONS: WHO WAS DR. SEUSS AND WHY DO WE REMEMBER HIM ON MARCH 2ND EVERY YEAR?

  • ILLUSTRATIONS ARE WELCOME, BUT NOT REQUIRED.

  • FINISHED PIECES ARE DUE ON FRIDAY, MARCH 4TH TO CLASSROOM TEACHERS.

  •  CLASSROOM TEACHERS WILL CHOOSE THE SINGLE BEST PIECE FROM THEIR CLASS TO SUBMIT TO THE WRITING COMMITTEE (A BOX WILL BE IN THE LIBRARY)

  •  THE COMMITTEE WILL CHOOSE 1 WINNER PER GRADE AND ANNOUNCE THEM THE NEXT WEEK.

  • ALL ENTRIES WILL BE DISPLAYED IN THE FRONT HALL.

  • WINNERS WILL RECEIVE A $5 GIFT CARD TO BARNES & NOBLE AND A SPECIAL CERTIFICATE
