Reminder: Texas Roadhouse Fundraiser
Tuesday, March 1st come support the HGF PTA at Texas Roadhouse! 'Andy the Armadillo' from Texas Roadhouse came to school today to say hello to the children at lunchtime. Each child received a 'token' for a free kids meal so be sure to ask them about it.

(THIS CONTEST IS OPTIONAL)
- STUDENTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO WRITE A BIOGRAPHY OF DR. SEUSS DURING READ ACROSS AMERICA WEEK.
- STUDENTS MUST ANSWER TWO QUESTIONS: WHO WAS DR. SEUSS AND WHY DO WE REMEMBER HIM ON MARCH 2ND EVERY YEAR?
- ILLUSTRATIONS ARE WELCOME, BUT NOT REQUIRED.
- FINISHED PIECES ARE DUE ON FRIDAY, MARCH 4TH TO CLASSROOM TEACHERS.
- CLASSROOM TEACHERS WILL CHOOSE THE SINGLE BEST PIECE FROM THEIR CLASS TO SUBMIT TO THE WRITING COMMITTEE (A BOX WILL BE IN THE LIBRARY)
- THE COMMITTEE WILL CHOOSE 1 WINNER PER GRADE AND ANNOUNCE THEM THE NEXT WEEK.
- ALL ENTRIES WILL BE DISPLAYED IN THE FRONT HALL.
- WINNERS WILL RECEIVE A $5 GIFT CARD TO BARNES & NOBLE AND A SPECIAL CERTIFICATE

BINGO & Vendor Night with Pizza and Bake Sale
SAVE THE DATE!
HGF PTA is hosting another fun BINGO night on Friday, March 18, 2016 (please note there was an error on the HGF March calendar. March 18th is the correct date.)
Doors open at 6:15, BINGO begins at 6:45 HGF Gym
We have special guest BINGO callers again this year. HGF teachers will be on stage calling out the numbers while you race to fill in your cards and win your choice from the prize table.
PIZZA
We will also have cheese pizza available for per-order. Order forms will be sent home on March 3rd.
- $9.00/Large Cheese Pizza
- Soda and Water $1.00
- $2.00/slice
BAKE SALE:
Bake Sale items will also be available for $.25 each. We will need bakers and volunteers.
VENDOR SALE:
We are looking for in-home sales consultants/vendors.
Do you sell products through a home based business...Pampered Chef, Thirty-one, Lia Sophia? If so, HGF PTA is sponsoring a vendor fair during our annual BINGO Night. If you would like to set up a table and sell your products, please complete this registration form. The fee is $20 per table. We also ask that you donate one prize ($10 minimum) to a gift basket that will be raffled off during the event.
We will have an intermission during BINGO where families are encouraged to stop by each vendor table to get a sticker/stamp. People who collect all the stickers/stamps will be able to enter into the raffle.
Vendor tables will need to be set up by 6:15pm. Intermission will take place at 7:15-7:40pm, however tables should be staffed throughout the evening.
Please note, in the event of duplicate products, vendors will be accepted on a first come, first served basis.

REMINDER! Star Wars Movie Night, 2/19
There will be a Star Wars Movie Night tomororw night (2/19). Doors open at 6:15pm and the cost is $5 per family, which includes a bag of popcorn for each family member.
Candy and drinks will be available for purchase. Additional bags of popcorn will also be available.
Bring your own chairs or blankets. Everyone is welcome to dress up, but no weapons please (light sabers, blasters, etc).

Come bounce, slide, laugh and have a great time!!!
What better way to spend a day during February vacation than to come together with friends and classmates to have lots fun while also raising money for HGF PTA.

(Portion from each entrance ticket sold during this time goes to HGF school)

Family: I have been married to a wonderful man, Chuck, 25 years this October.
What I Like Best About HGF: My husband went to HGF....and when my children grew up, they went to HGF, and I volunteered in classrooms all the time. It wasn't until they got out of the school, that I decided to return to the school as a paraprofessional.

This summer, I went 48 stories down into the earth, caving with my family and a guide. All we had for light were headlamps. I was very scared , but I would do it again! I conquered my fears!
