Bake Sale, April 20th to Benefit 1, 2, and 3 Graders


Our next bake sale will be Wednesday, April 20th. Proceeds of each month’s bake sale benefit the grades that are baking.  
This month the 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades will receive all of the money raised during the bake sale to help offset the cost of field trips.

To earn as much as possible, it is important to have a wide variety and large number of baked goods so please consider donating something either purchased or home-made.  Your participation is greatly appreciated!
 ALL ITEMS $.25 each
You may bake or bring fruit rolls, smart food, snacks, baked goods, etc...  All items, with the exception of cupcakes, should be individually wrapped.  Items can be dropped off the morning of the bake sale.

Bakers & Store-Bought Donations Needed!

We need help with our upcoming Bake Sale which will be Wednesday, October 28th. We need LOTS of folks to participate in order to make this successful. This bake sale benefits the 1st Grade.

Do you love to bake? We'd love your help! Please bag each item, except cupcakes.  Please note any allergens such as gluten, nuts, etc.

Short on time? Store-bought snacks such as crackers, granola bars, fruit snacks, juice boxes, fruit cups, etc are welcome also. If you provide something that needs a spoon or fork, kindly send those along as well.

Please label any containers you need returned to you with your child's name and teacher.

September - Save the Dates!

There's a lot going on at HGF and the PTA has some cool stuff happening, too. Be sure to mark your calendars with the following dates:


Meeting Reminder for THIS WEEK!
Our first PTA meeting is this Wednesday at 6:30pm in the Library. All are welcome. If you wish to renew your PTA standing, please bring $5 cash or a check with you to the meeting.

Popcorn
Our first Popcorn day will be Thursday, September 24th. You can send your child with 50-cents for plain popcorn or 75-cents for cheese popcorn.

Volunteer Opportunity - We need a handful of volunteers to help with the popping and distribution. This is a about a 2-1/2 hour commitment. Please contact Hilary if you're able to help. You can volunteer weekly, every other week, monthly or just one time - whatever works for your schedule.

Volunteer Training 
Mrs. Matthews and Mrs. V invite all volunteers to attend a Volunteer Orientation/Training Meeting on 9/24/15 at 2:00pm in the library.  We will go over different topics that will include steps to working the copier machine, volunteer procedures and a short question and answer period.  We look forward to seeing you at the meeting and thank you for sharing your time and talents as volunteers!


BoxTops
Our first BoxTops Collection Contest will take place in mid-October. Start saving those BoxTops and watch for the notice. They'll be a great prize for the classroom with the most collected!
