Volunteers are extremely important for the running of many events and
learning experiences for our students at HGF. In order to ensure a safe
environment for all, we ask that all volunteers please adhere to the
following information. According to the MSD Board Policy, volunteers
who serve in an on-going capacity and have a one-on-one interaction with
students are considered to be designated volunteers. These volunteers
will be required to submit to a criminal background check and
fingerprinting that will be paid for by the district. A few examples of
this type of volunteer is as follows: mentors, homework helpers,
overnight chaperones, and coaches. Volunteers whose contact is limited
and who will be volunteering in hallways and other public areas will not
